  1. Hey everyone, Dissembled and greased the starter at annual. Considered replacing the solenoid and/or entire starter while off, depending on cost, but unable to locate the make/model. Sticker fell off and no identifying stamp.. Remember maybe a Mitsubishi label on it. Def not SkyTec; bracket appears to be non-certified for the L2C. Any ideas from the attached photo? Thanks! 2. The key in a Google search is "phenolic tube" as opposed to phenolic material (which returns sheets). My first time sourcing such material. James was nice enough to provide an email reply that lead me in the right direction. Sure, you can get it from McMaster but I'd end up paying $40+ and receive 3 feet worth when I only need 3 inches. I'm continuing my search, but if anyone has a scrap piece of 0.75" ID phenolic tube sitting around I'll pay shipping and beer! Thanks
  3. Thomas and everyone, I purchased the parts from Phil and a heating element, and I plan to follow James' instructions. One biggie - from where can you source the phenolic material? Phenolic doesn't appear to be carried at the normal shops (I'm a pilot/maintainer not a builder per se), and this part certainly can't be skipped. Guidance appreciated, thanks, Robert
  4. Thanks, Kent. I don't know how some ppl run mogas for years successfully, but I can afford all LL so I will
  5. Howdy, At the advice of multiple mechanics and EZ owners, I've been running 50/50 ethanol-free 90 octane fuel and 100LL (yes, low compression pistons). In theory it should be great - Less lead to foul plugs (but still enough to lubricate), no ethanol to eat the epoxy, and save some $$! The aircraft developed a leak in (at least) the right fuel tank. This annual I cut it open and sealed all surfaces with slow cure EZ Poxy. Going forward, should I continue running the 50/50 mix, or could it be the cause of the leak? I've read that even though I've avoided the dreaded ethanol, there still could be a number of additives in auto fuel that may be even more damaging than ethanol. After this experience, I'll be pissed if I have to open up the fuel tank again. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
  6. Hello, Are these still available? Having trouble sourcing these for my EZ Thanks
