  1. Looked at you're overview and saw that you're indeed in the AF. Human Space Flight. Neat!
  2. Hi there Brian. That's a good name. I'm living not too far north of you there. I take that you're in the Air Force? If you ever need to add a little extra weight to you're plane for a little flight let me know I'd be to Santa Maria in a little over a second.
  3. Hi my name is Brian I'm new here. I'm in the process of purchasing a Drangonfly partially completed kit. I'm a big fan of Rutan Designs and would like to build a Long. Don't have the $ or infrastructure for that right now but maybe soon. I'll probably build from the Open Source Long plans. I saw someone post that "they" probably don't want a bunch of Long airplanes flying that havnt been built with Liscensed plans. Burt has said that he is happy to see his designs being built and that his view is that copyrights and lawsuits are stifling to development of aircraft. Thus Open Long aircraft should be ok with him. I'd think as long as they are being built and flown in a responsible manner. Anyway I plan to check out what a lot of is going on here, ask questions, learn a little maybe and comment on you're achievements. In that Spirit Thanks, -Brian

Hi I'm new... and I have a crazy idea

That would be awesome. I'm in if we could get it going. This is the way that the U.S. Was able to have literally thousands of airplanes in the air at one time and all within a very short time. Cooperation. Working together for a common goal. Each builder specializes in one area or on one part and they can produce a part that is likely of higher quality more efficiently than one person that has to do many parts on they're own. In that Spirit Thank You, Brian H.
