  1. I have a Vari-eze conical motor mount for the Cont O-200 a friend gave me to see if it works, being it is for the O-200 which we didnt know at first, It will not work for me, I told him I would bring it back or try to sell it for him, he has a long ez now... so if anyone needs a Vari-eze conical motor mount for a Cont O-200, make me an offer that my friend can't refuse ( he is pretty reasonable ) thank you and happy holidays to all
  2. Thank you, I had it developed by the premier nose dude of the western weber county area... the pucks should be there any day now to those who ordered them
  3. Pucks are all sold, thank you all
  4. I have 4 nose puck sets for sale, I had mine made on a water cutter, and by the time I paid for cad work and set up it made sense to make more than 1, these are 2 piece nose pucks, a lower piece of 1/4 inch 2024 T3 aluminum and a top piece of 3/8 inch gray cutting board material. they measure 3 inches wide, and 4 1/8 inches long, I had 3 hole piercings put in each piece to line up screws or bolts or whatever you might want to do with them. I chose gray in the hope that it wont show scuffs or dirt like white would, and by bolting the cutting board material to the aluminum, the outer surface can be swapped out in the future. I am asking $30 per set, that includes shipping in the lower 48 states.
  5. I have been handed my vacation request sheet for next year, its that time of year at corperate america, where we request the next years vacation, and wait for them to tell us why we won't be getting what we ask for. I would like to attend a few fly ins, even though I will be ' Driving ' in. Does anyone have a list of all the dates ??? I want to attend Canards De mayo again, see what its like when it doesnt rain the entire time, I want to make it to rough river also. anuy input would be helpful
  6. Seems like just yesterday you were running through the yard with your newly completed canard.. congratulations... it give people like me back in the earlier stages hope Stuart
  7. I have one too many projects, I have my cozy I am building, and a Long EZ I rescued from the desert, so there is no way in my lifetime I will get to this one... Long EZ, fuselodge is complete, minus the nose, Main spar complete, main gear complete, it bolts right in with axles allready on the mains, no canard, but the elevator is complete, all hardware installed on elevator. speed brake is complete, retractable step is in, retractable landing light is in, NACA scoop on bottom, auluminum firewall piece... lots of misc hardware, and last but not least, a complete set of original Rutan aircraft factory Long EZ plans with templates.... all yours for the amazing price of $1500 ! ! ! WAIT, thats not all, if you act now, I will throw in a varieze canopy absolutely free ! ! ! I am located in northern Utah, please drink responsibly before crossing into Utah
  8. Can anybody here tell me if a motor mount from a Varieze fit a Long EZ ????
  9. I am keeping the pump I am using on the Cozy, I aquired a pump with a Long EZ i picked up. I only need 1 pump. so the other one is looking for a loving and warm family to take it in and treat it as one of their own.
  10. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have a Michael engineering sticky stuff dispenser for sale, it is set at 45:100 it has been used but is in great shape.. $120
  11. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have for sale, a twin turbo set up off a 20B 3 rotor. this motor came off a flying plane that had delamination issues, it has been modified for aviation use, has custom plumbing and manifolds, exhaust pipe, and intercooler that goes down below the engine mount . what is included throttle body 2 turbos all manifolds ( intake and exhaust ) exhaust pipe that exits down to the cowl bottom intercooler ( with all hoses ) fuel rail all conectors clamps, EVERYTHING ! all this for the low low price of $600 + shipping I am going N/A ... I wont be the fastest out there, the gentleman i bought the motor from said on his last flight he climbed out at around 3200 fpm, one turbo is set up to normalize, the other is on a cable and can be engaged for take off and climb out.
  12. I bought this thing, now I have 2 projects ! ! ! !
  13. I was able to get 11 layers on the top spar, so 11 on top and 7 on the bottom, I think I should be OK. I had 2 layers across the entire trough before I started shortening them. I just have the top skin left now
  14. I am about to do the spar cap on the top, I was only able to get 7 plies on the bottom spar cap, that filled it right up. before I read this thread I was thinking I might have a thicker spar tape than was used before, I couldnt find it in the plans on how many layers we are suppose to have. I have also read that the top spar cap should take a little bit more material than the bottom spar cap. I know I am going to be the squeegy king on the top spar cap. Any input would be greatly appriciated
  15. the gear is now sold :-) thank you all
  16. I have decided that I will be just fine with fixed gear, while I may be losing some " Cool " Factor, I think I can build a little faster So here is what I have, I have the first generation Infinity retractable gear, with the following included 2 Main retractable Oleo Struts 1 Hydraulic Pump 1 emergency blowdown thingy ( not sure how complete ) Installation Manual DVD from Infifnity this is what i do NOT have Gear controller hydraulic lines their may be a few small pieces and fasteners I do not have also. but all the meat and potatos are here I am Asking $3700 contact me if interested
  17. If this wasnt allready done I was planning on going N/A, but here it is so I am going to give it a whirl... here is a websight of a velocity with a N/A 20b, it looks like a really clean install http://members.cox.net/alg3/airplane.htm take a look at his engine stuff
  18. I got the motor with all the wires still attatched, some had been cut though, I can provide pictures for you if you like, but this guy went pretty complex... 2 turbos, intercooled, all kinds of crazy plumbing.... are you turbo charging yours ????
  19. Here is the website to the Velocity with the 20B i was refering too http://members.cox.net/alg3/airplane.htm 285 HP on the Dyno.... It is a beautiful build
  20. You can safely expect about 250 HP in a N/A 20B..... there is a velocity that is flying with a N/A 20B, he has a dyno gragh from this motor hitting 280 hp. I might only have 1 more rotor, but it is much more powerful motor... The Motor is still sitting on a crate... it has just moved... i need to figure out how to move this heavy thing around. I got lucky and got the infinity retracts also . The engine mount looks well made, but does not attatch at the plans located hardpoints, I am not sure what to think about that yet . I will either need a new engine mount or build new hardpoints into the back.
  21. I have no idea why it was delaminating, but from what glenn said, he was tld here was a problem with how it was originally constructed, that the fabrication was flawed in some way..
