  1. Yes, I believe they are, as this system is very similar to the system used on the Velocity, additionally I believe there vendors available to purchase the hydraulic pump and cylindar. The wiring and contols are "off the shelf" items, as diagramed and explaned in the installation manual.
  2. Someone out there was kind enough to inform me that this item could be purchased from the manufacturer for just under $500.00 , therfore I am reducing my price to $400.00 or best resonable offer. Mark
  3. I am selling a complete set of NEW Long EZ engine cowlings (P-51 air scoop), never been mounted or fitted (no cleco holes). Pictures available upon request, asking $550.00, shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer - located in central MA (zip 01740)
  4. I know of this EZ, if you are in search of this type of aircraft, you will not find a finer example of one anywhere, period. The attention to detail and quality of consruction are incredable with unique custom touches such as the seamless canopy closure system and down draft cooling just to mention a few. The vague dicsription does not do it justice. The builder has and will continue to be a valued mentor and teacher to me personally and the local canard community in general. I wish him success.
  5. Chrissi I purchased this project from the widow of the original builder, located on Long Island. From the research that I have done the the original airframe was built back in the mid to late 80's and a has sat in a hanger since then. Regards, Mark
  6. It is with great regret that have to part with my Long EZ RG project, I purchased this project last year in hopes of staying busy during a slowing economy. To my suprise I am actually bussier than I could have imagined and have not had the time to put into it, that it deserves. I will do my best to accuratly describe it in the most detail possible, I'm sure that I will miss something, so please if you have a questions please ask. I will rspond in a timely manner. The fusalage is complete and on the gear as are the wings, vert stabs, alerons, rudders and elevators, although the rudders and alerons are not mounted, the canopy is complete and mounted. Canard is complete. There are three upgrade kits that will go with the aircraft, the first is a real neat toe brake set-up that is mocked-up, but not completed. the other two kits are bearing sets for the aleron torque tube and the alerons themself. A Dynafolcal engine mount for Lycoming 0-320 or 0-360 in included. The retractable gear system is a modified Steve Drybread system and is installed and working staticaly, it still requires the hydraulic cylinder, pump, wiring and plumbing. There are two sets of plans on complete record set and one seperated by chapter for a "shop set". I will be listing this on e-bay in the coming week with a starting bid of $7500, I am located in the Northeast (Boston area). I have a good deal of pictures available upon request.
  7. You might try www.aircraft-tool.com they seem to have a good selection of various tools and supplies, and reasonable pricing. I recently purchased an asortment of clecos and the installation/removal tool and was satisfied with the price, service and delivery. Mark
  8. Does anyone out there have the Weldtech pendulum toe brake / rudder pedals installed in there l Long EZ? I have what I believe a complete kit that came as parts with the Long EZRG I just got, but no installation instructions, I can and will install these, however it would be nice to know what the manufacturer had intended. Regards, Mark A. Giunta MarksEZ
  9. Chrissi I am anew member of the canard world, who recently purchased a "take over" Long EZ project from the widow of the original builder. The EZ is equiped with a patially installed Drybread system, if you are still inerested in looking at one let me know, I am located in central MA in proximity to several airports (BED, FIT, 6B6, 3B3) Regards, Mark
  10. Greetings fellow canard pushers I recently purchased a take over project from the widow of the previous builder, its a Long EZ with what apears to have a Steve Drybread retract system partially installed, I am presently in the process of assembling the gaps in documentation (ie assemble instructions and drawings)to determine what additioal parts will be required to complete the installation. I'm sure I will be a frequent poster here looking for advice and councel, I look forward to the many opportunities to exchange information, ideas, techniques and general chat with all of you. Regards, Mark
