  1. Just a short round of applause for a positive attitude. If you focus on your dream, the facts don't count. Perhaps instead of focusing on the bad, you might better focus on the steps and processes necessary for the unfortunate to not happen to you. Just thinking out loud, if you build a Cozy with carbon fiber, make small mods to have aerocad fuel capacity( 63 gal), stick a DeltaHawk 160 on the back, it appears that you could have the capacity(if DeltaHawk's numbers on their website are accurate) to make it from San Fran to Hilo (2010 nm) with 10% reserve, and depending on the weight savings from carbon fiber, at somewhere between 130-160 knots; 13-16 hours. Between the initial weight difference between DeltaHawk's Velocity (1700 lbs.) and the base cozy (1300 lbs.) to a carbon fiber cozy(perhaps 1150 lbs.), you might even have acceptable margins of safety. A long, long time over a trackless vastness might be your goal, but it is certainly an attainable dream.
  2. Are there any Cozy IV's using carbon fiber currently in the air, or being worked on?
