Wondering if I could get a sanity check from the group on a 4-pipe exhaust installation. I couldn't find the detail I needed on the web, so I am asking the question.
I've been replacing the exhaust with Hal Hunt's in-the-cowl pipes. The mounting instructions are not explicit and I know cracks can develop if the pipes are not properly supported. I have attached some photos of my interpretation of the bracing installation so...any comments on the bracing arrangement would be greatly appreciated!

I made some design assumptions when I fabbed them:
1. The purpose of the brace is to restrain the vertical movement of the pipes. Since they are free to swivel horizontally around the flange piece, I made the braces stiffest in the vertical plane.
2. The instructions say to attach the brace between the short pipe and a rocker cover screw, but that seemed to be too close to the flange piece to have any effect...so I used the rear-most baffle screw as a mounting point.
3. The instructions call out spring-loaded SS clamps. I assume this is to let things slide around to damp out the vibes.
4. The #2 oil return and primer lines are VERY close to the pipe! I made a heatshield and plan to line it with fiberfrax.
Please don't hesitate to point out any issues you may see, you won't hurt my feelings by pointing out shortcomings. I'd rather be safe.
