  1. Keep up the good work Guy's. I'm impressed with the progress so far and looking forward to seeing the finished product.
  2. Try here for the radiator core Joe, sales@aaronradiator.co.uk 0845 652 8852 I'm pretty sure you can get the core in the US, just try some of the aftermarket rad manufacturers. John.
  3. I'll make some enquiries Joe. Many of the superbike teams have after market curved rads so its certainly do able. Guess they won't be cheap though.
  4. Pre curved radiator cores are available if you needed a larger core area to fit inside a curved cowl.
  5. Recently, i got in touch with a Long builder here in the uk. This Gent has kindly offered to let me look at his Bird at some point in the near future. It'll be great to see one in the flesh and hopefully see if i can fit in one ( not that i'm a fat person, just dodgy knees:o ) If there is enough room then stock dimensions mine will be:)
  6. Maybe a pair of flat twin bmw engines??
  7. Keeping things stock is certainly the way to go as long as you can fit in the thing. Unfortunately there are very few long's over in the UK so i haven't had chance to try one for size, I'm 6' 1" tall, 195 pounds and more longer in the back than the legs. must be interbreeding! One thing i can't put up with is cramped leg room, i like to stretch out a bit. If its ok as standard then thats fine, a little extra width wouldn't hurt though. I'm assuming this is the lesser of the two evils? I wouldn't envisage widening the fuse a great amount, maybe 3 - 4 inches absolute maximum.
  8. 'Gift' usually works too. Make sure that no bills, invoices etc are included with your parcel. Have them mailed seperate.
  9. Something small first to 'test' the system. Your tax rules may be different to the uk.
  10. Not sure on the legalities in S A but whenever i 'acquire' something from the US , i have it clearly stated on the packaging and any paperwork that it is a free commercial sample. Never paid any duties.
  11. Seems a huge cost for shipping to south Africa. A contact of mine ships auto engines between there and the US for far less. Have you had a fixed quotation?
  12. Guys, I didn't find it too difficult to download cad software, now how to work it! Only pulling your leg. I have managed to view Tony's bulkhead drawings from EZ Squadron without any problems, just a matter of printing them off. Keep up the good work. IF iget paid this month i'll treat myself to the TERF cd. Jon, keep me in the picture, same offer from me if you need some 'sponsorship'. I'll carry on lurking in the meantime. John.
