  1. I'm blessed........ Just throw it over my shoulder....... HiGeez
  2. Rich, you're right. Except the 'dump' door is only open when: 1. I want outside air, w/ blower sitting at end of runway - no heat, canopy clsd, 2. flow thru ventilation during no-heat conditions, 3. heater in use in the summer and the hot air is intentionally dumped overboard. 4. chewing gum or urine disposal.... jerry
  3. Steve, go to Canard Aviation Forum for pics. jerry
  4. Big Steve. Here are the promised pics as of this morning. You can email me directly at gyhtwr@hotmail.com or call anytime I'm not asleep @ 864-350-5695 with any questions. Pics are self explanatory, as least to me. This axial fan really puts out the air flow. It will blow your socks off. The printed circuit board is a DC speed controller. the zinc chromated plate is a overboard air dump. I can close it to re-circulate warmed air or dump the air overboard. Jerry ps. tried to attach pics. not enough MB room. email me and I'll send them or go to the other forum. I send them from there.
  5. The axial fan draws the heated air through the oil cooler. air is forced into the existing heat duct abt 6 inches fwd of the 'plans' scat tube entry point. everything else is 'plans'. I promise, I'll take pics tomorrow morning and post on Tuesday. Jerry
  6. I wish I had a pic of my installation. I used a motorcycle oil cooler mounted in the right rear seat area under the Butt support. The seat bottom forms the plenum. Air is forced fwd using a West Marine axial blower. Speed is controlled by DC pulse width modulation (Kit from MPJA). Heat is controlled by a S/S ball valve (from Granger) controlled at the throttle quadrant. At full throttle it will blow your socks off. I'll try to get some pics over the New Years Holiday and resubmit. HiGeez
  7. Hi all, I have jigs and templates from my "build" that anyone is welcome to. I will have them with me at RR. Look for the blue Ford Explorer with SC tags. If no takers - land fill. jerry (HiGeez) preiser gyhtwr@hotmail.com
  8. Steve, Good luck on your move. Ex Airforce myself. C ya when you return. Wings (Eureka supplies), winglets done. Anybody listening? Great product, you will not be disapointed with Eureka! Jerry HiGeez Preiser
  9. Everyone: Started on my wing with the cores supplied by Eureka (Steve). Warning abt this product. I was a piece of... ...absolutly perfectly cut cores. Unless you need the core-cutting fix, Eureka is highly recommended. They were near perfect. No wire drag marks, corners square, parts matched up, etc. What else can I say. Good job Steve. With the Cozy Girl's parts & Steves's cores, there is no excuse now for not finishing. Jerry Preiser
  10. to Cozy Girls: instructions for hidden horn install, any answer????????????? rudder conduit placement??????????????? split rudder. your opinion(s)??????? jerry order comming shortly.
  11. Cozy Girls make an awsome set. (wait, that sounds weird. they make an awsome part) jerry
  12. Where on the web? The plastic sanding pad wears out evey couple of months. I try to avoid any pressure, rotate the pad, stop to let it cool, etc. last purchase came from Wick$$$$. Jerry
  13. Where do I find plans for the hidden rudder horn (not RAF)? Rudder conduit placement? Horns will come from CGP. Split rudder. Seen on another web site. Any Pro's-Cons?????? Jerry HiGeez
  14. I did receive a reply from Jan and he said YES to the firewall aft engine application for the COZY (9/9/05). Also, same day, MT prop people described the prop used on the Defiant test bed MTV something. No mention, even though I specifically asked, about a CS prop. The did say they have a fixed pitched prop designed for pusher applications with the Cozy and Defiant in mind. Hmmm, more research needed. Miss my spell checker... HiGeez
  15. Is anyone using a Subaru 3.0 L engine on the Cozy, in particular the Eggenfellner application? Any word on this 6 banger? They (Eggenfellner)provide firewall aft packages. A word from the wise would be helpful here. My other choice is the EX-360. Mamma agreed to the Cozy as long as it has a "real" engine in the back. Even when I said it's going to get e x p e n s i v e (not that a 22K EX-360 or the H-6 Eggenfellner is cheaper). I'm a rotary man but I'd never convince her that it was a safer approach to a powerplant We watch our oldest son crash in a AA-5 killing the other pilot due to engine failure (water in the gas) so she's a little apprehensive. Understandable. Thanx. HiGeez
