  1. Yeah. A pretty, pretty plane. I could even see the different colored tips in the blur of the props. Just like in the pics. Way cool.
  2. Yup, that was it alright. For a second I thought it was a Starship. Then I saw the rudder was wrong. Oh well... Still, it was almost like seeing one. They must be quite a sight. Someday maybe.
  3. Saw a canard yesterday and wondered if anybody could make a guess as to what it might have been. It was up pretty high but here's what I saw. Basically, it resembled a Starship in looks and size. (you don't suppose I got really lucky do you :D ) It was a white, twenty or so passenger, twin engine pusher, canard aircraft. Sounded like a turboprop to me. It had propellers anyway. So anyway, what's up there like that these days?
  4. First, I gottta say this. YES, I remember the Mallard. And turbines, owner/drivers... The Brickyard. Oh yeah, the sweet, sweet smell of high octane. Nothin' like it. (no comment on the forty thing) Shoestring budgets. Ugh. Yeah that's me all right. One car garage; root cellar and lots of ambition. Lets' see, build the fuselage in the garage, wings in the root cellar... ummm, pray about the rest. Then, pray more. Great idea about a shoestringers club. Might get a lot more people in the air. Hopefully me first geez I wish this had a spell check
  5. You know, that was way too easy wasn't it. And I almost feel bad about it too... almost.
  6. I got onnnnnneeee!!! The time, 7:09 am. The place, Spokane, WA. You know, Washington... The state. Green trees, clean air. You'd like it here. Anyway, I had just stepped outside when what did I hear? The hi pitched, beautiful sound of an aircraft flying over. So, I took John's advice and looked up. There it was, my first Canard sighting!!! I was thrilled. I don't know for sure but I think it was a Cozy. Too far away to be sure. Sure was sweet though. It was at about 2000' and singin'. Headed NNE to who knows where. It's a beautiful day for flying so who cares where he (or she) was going. But I tell you what, I was right there in the cockpit with 'em. Oh well, someday. You know, I didn't think there were any Canards around here. Anybody know of any? Brad
  7. Maybe a "One man brake bleeder" system they use on cars will work. $15 to $20 dollars last time I looked. Brad
  8. Yeah, that is a little pricey. $96,705... you could build a couple of Cozys for that! Whoa, what am I saying? It's only money! Thanks for the info, Brad
  9. Yeah, another good lookin' airplane. I wonder what the price tag is on it? They don't say. Actually, I'm kinda curious about Aerocad and what might happen now that the big legal battle is over. (Hopefully) I'm hoping that lots of cool stuff (stuff that's been sittin' on the back burner maybe) will be coming out soon. Maybe, a five seater; big huge engine; extra propellers; a flyin' porta pottie!!!. Who knows. But you know, I never really figured out who the bad guy was. I'm not sure if one of them made a carbon copy plane and that's what it's all about or what. I just hope it's all over now. Guess we'll see. Brad
  10. Flies like a truck!?! Yikes! Thanks everybody, Brad Too bad though. It looks really cool. Oh well.
  11. Thanks Waiter, I found it. It is the Variviggen. In "Plans and Kits Specs." under "Defiant" there's a post by Aaron titled, "If There's a plane other that a Cozy...." On the last post he put a link (http:dragonaero.com/RAFCDROM.htm) which pulls up a Rutan add. In the pic there are 4 planes. On the bottom right is a silver one that looks a lot like Isreal's Mirage jet. Anyone know anything about it and how to get info? Thanks again, Brad
  12. Ok, where is it? I saw what I'd call a Delta wing, canard design the other day in a picture on a link somebody put on here but didn't have time to research it. In the picture there were 3 or 4 planes (Rutan design I think) and one of them was a twin engine, pusher/puller type. Anyway, I thought the Delta wing looked neat and I'd like to know more about it. Anybody know what/where it is? Thanks, Brad
  13. Can I make a comment here? I'm nobody. Just a flyer wanna be that loves reading these posts. But in life I've noticed many things. One of them is that you can't take words back. Please be careful what you say. I'll name no names but I see both "sides" as being both right and wrong in what they've said and done. The question is, why do you continue the fight? Is it really that important? Yes, mistakes have been made by ALL parties involved and this is something that cannot be changed. However, this is how we human beings learn and in the grand scheme of things, this works pretty well. We invented airplanes didn't we!?! Anyway, no matter what has happened or how you feel, this forum is still a wonderful place. I learned something once about parking in a parking lot that I think applies here. People come and people go. It'll all be OK.
