Well, Im moving into a new home with my fiancee and im building a 24 x 40 shop. Right now im in a smaller house with only a basement to work in because she has put her dang car in my one airplane shop, i mean garage. Funny how woman need to put useless cars in a mans shop! So, ive been spending everynight reading through the plans and updating them according to the errata sheet. I plan on building the mark three tri gear with single center stick. Ive flown a few planes with just a center stick and it seems fine and saves a bit of weight and time to build. I built a volkslpane in the past and reconstructed a sonerai both with VWs. The sonerai flew 140 mph on 75 HP 2180. I plan on using the 2180 again with no starter or altenater as I find in flying some of the best times are had when you keep it simple and "build in lightness". I used to do fiberglass work in in a patternshop here in Kansas City. Hopefully ill order my first few supplies and get started on the bulkheads and such within the next week. Wicks aircraft is only about 4 hours from my house so soon ill place a huge order and run over to St. Louis and get it in the truck. My fiancee is excited about helping me. Hey, what more can you ask for, right ?
