  1. Thanks Dan, that was helpful. It least it gives me some idea. I can do simple metal working but I do not have the equipment to weld and it has been 25 years since I have welded. I think I would rather trust someone elses welding rather than my own. Thanks
  2. Beside the paint, epoxy, flight instruments, engine, prop and perhaps seats what else needs to be purchased that is not included in the AS&S section or chapter kits. I understand that other parts are needed but I am not sure what they are and how much they cost. I don't really want to do any difficult metal work other than maybe drilling and simple cutting. An overall estimate of the cost for the extras is fine if no one wants to itemize. Maybe someone knows of a builders web site where this information already exists.
  3. I suppose the truck the Cozy to airport the wings need to come anyway right? I don't think neighbors would let me fly it off our street!
  4. I got my info-pack from aircraft spuce and started measuring and calculating. I scaled my garage dimensions to the Cozy drawing, traced the the Cozy onto to a piece of paper then cut it out for little paper Cozy and laid it over my scaled garage drawing and determined that I can fit the whole dang thing in the garage but getting it out with wings on would very tight.
  5. Well almost, third time is charm! ....................14 ft .............___________ .............|................| .............|................| .....19ft..|................| .............|................| .............|................| ________ ................| |.............................| |.............................| 49 ft |.............................| |.............................| |.............................| |.............................| |.............................| |.............................| ----------------------- ............. 20 ft
  6. Dang!. The forum software clipped the white space so you can't see the dimensions. Here is another attempt 14 ft .............___________ .............|................| .............|................| .....19ft..|................| .............|................| .............|................| ________ ................| |.............................| |.............................| 49 ft |.............................| |.............................| |.............................| |.............................| |.............................| |.............................| ----------------------- 20 ft Where there is a will, there is a way! Frank
  7. Thanks for the replies. I have ordered an infopack and hope it comes with some dimensions. My hope is start in the 14 by 19 space that does not have a car in it and then when I get to the wings be able to turn it sideways in the three car garage to finish. This is course if the canard installation can wait to the very last. So if I turn it sideways, will it fit? My 3 car garage looks like this 14 ft ------------ | | | | 19 ft | | | | | | ------- | | | | | 49ft | | | | | | | | | | ------------------- 20 ft Thanks for thelp
  8. I am interested in building a Cozy Mark IV and would like to know how much space is required to accomplish the task. I have a three car garage but it is only two cars wide with one bay being two cars deep.
