  1. To Cozy Mark IV Builders We have just learned the Ken Brock MFG, who has supplied many prefabricated metal parts for the Cozy MKIV for over 20 years, is ceasing operation at the end of December. Aircraft Spruce is in the process of obtaining all remaining inventory of these parts from Ken Brock prior to their closing the doors, and we will be setting up new fabricators for these parts so that they will continue to be available for builders. We will keep you posted. Best Wishes to all of our Cozy Builders for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Best Regards, Jim Irwin President, Aircraft Spruce
  2. It is Renee, I run the Cozy desk at Aircraft Spruce. Yes that is the same, so I would like to know who bought the plans so I could at least get the name and address to update my files. Nat had the policy that he did not agree with someone selling plans they just bought, he would rather someone buy an unfished project. I just ask if someone sells the plans to another builder they contact Aircraft Spruce, sign a new license agreement so I can update the files. Thanks, Renee Gelinas Aircraft Spruce plans
  3. Please note if plans are sold, the buyer will need to call Renee at Aircraft Spruce 909-372-9555 x333 and have the plans transfered over to the new persons name. There is a fee of $25.00 for transfer of plans. Thank you for your cooperation. Renee Gelinas Aircraft Spruce
  4. Dear Cozy Builders, For those of you that were following the discussions regarding Wicks Aircraft no longer being an authorized supplier for the Cozy, my last report informed you that this was due to Wicks decision not to honor the agreement that was made between Nat Puffer and all his suppliers prior to the sale of Aircraft Spruce. Over the past couple of weeks Wicks Aircraft reconsidered their decision and I am glad to report that Wicks has now agreed to the License agreement on the Cozy, which was in essence the same agreement that was in place (on the handshake) between Nat Puffer / Aircraft Spruce / Wicks Aircraft since 1982. Wicks can now once again be listed as an approved supplier. Nat will continue to provide builders support and produce the Cozy newsletter through his agreement with Aircraft Spruce. Aircraft Spruce looks forward to continuing to work with Nat and Wicks in supporting the needs of Cozy builders everywhere. A Cozy Mark IV builder has compiled all of the Cozy newsletters covering the Cozy Mark III and the Cozy Mark IV through NL #83 on one CD an is making them available to builders through Aircraft Spruce. We have them instock at $20 ea. under our part number 01-00569. Let us know anytime Aircraft Spruce and be of service on anything that you need for your Cozy project. Regards, Jim Irwin President, Aircraft Spruce
  5. Hi, Renee here from Aircraft Spruce, I assign the Cozy Plans and I would like to tell all of your future plans buyers that the plans are not back ordered and will ship the same day the order is placed. I am fixing the back order error on the internet right now. Thanks, Renee Gelinas Plans Dept. Aircraft Spruce
  6. Notice to Cozy Builders- Wicks Aircraft has elected not to continue as an authorized distributor of Cozy materials and kits. Because of this decision by Wicks management, we have removed Wicks Aircraft as a distributor from our website and Nat Puffer will do the same in the next issue of the Cozy newsletter. When Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Co. reached an agreement with Nat Puffer to acquire the Cozy design rights in 2002, Wicks management at the time agreed that the contracts in place between Co-Z Development and Wicks Aircraft would be transferred unchanged to Aircraft Spruce when the deal became official on January 1, 2004. The other authorized Cozy distributors, Brock Manufacturing and Featherlite also agreed that their contracts would transfer to Aircraft Spruce, they have complied. The new management at Wicks Aircraft however have decided that they will not honor that agreement that was made by their previous management, and we certainly respect their decision, which dictates that they are no longer an authorized distributor of Cozy Materials. I am very disappointed that Wicks has decided not to honor the agreement which they made, as Nat Puffer, who had a lengthy discussion with the current Wicks management on the subject. If Cozy builders wish to continue to purchase Cozy materials from Wicks they are certainly free to do so, although such purchases will no longer help provide builder support, newsletters, and other services provided by Nat Puffer through his arrangements with Aircraft Spruce under the terms of the sale. Aircraft Spruce is committed to working to working with Nat and Cozy Builders groups to provide on-going support of the design, and we thank Cozy Builders everywhere for your on-going support of our efforts. My personal thanks to all Cozy Builders for your understanding this matter and if any builder would like confirmation of the information above, I encourage you to contact Nat Puffer directly at Co-Z Development Corp. If you have any comments or suggestions regarding the Cozy program please feel free to send them direct to me at jji@aircraftspruce.com Jim Irwin President, Aircraft Spruce
