  1. I would have put this in chapter 13 except I did not really know which chapter this was. I am working with parts bought originally by another builder and there is a mixture of prefab aerocanard parts in it so the plans do not cover a several of the operations. I depend a lot on pictures posted by other builders.I usually have to ask a lot of questions before I am comfortable with the direction I should go. Thanks for the links. I'll check them out.
  2. like cncdoc I maintain production equipment for a little company call Boeing. You may have heard of us. We build little airplanes.cozy plane 0489 40% complete.
  3. What really makes it great for me is that my brother lives in San Marcos so I will not even need a motel. After my plane is flying I plan to make this an anual trip. And you are right, the river walk in SanAntonio is a great place to visit and relax anytime of the year.
  4. I am ready to install the gear doors on my cozy and the mounting of the doors is pretty straight forward. I have not yet figured out the best mechanical method to use to open/close the doors. Any suggestions?
  5. thanks... This may be the only show I will get to make this year even if it is a 10 hour drive.
  6. I know there was a 1st annual airshow in New Brauffels ( spelling ) Texas last year. I do not recall the name . Does someone recall the date for this years show ?
  7. Okay the magnesium wheels are a little pricey but I will concider a reasonable offer. My email is still the same as on my original post.
  8. Are two front vents sufficient to also cool the aft passengers or do I need to add air vents for the rear also? Also is there an optimium size for the inlet air naca scoop. I am using 2.5" eyeball type nozzels.
  9. 1 set of Cleveland magnesium 5.00 x 5 high energy wheels and brakes. Wicks number cwb199-197 and 2 cwb 10-54 laydown master cylinders. all in new new condition and have never been installed. Retail cost $969. I am selling these for $700 as a set. I can be contacted at danny.c.lacoss@boeing.com any week day.
  10. you are correct. Michael Joyce did buy the franklin engine that was on Nat's cozy, but he sold it. The good news is that I am the one who bought it. If I can be of help let me know. I do not read this forum too often but I read the cozy_builder@canard.com every weekday. Or you can contact me directly at danny.c.lacoss@boeing.com
  11. has anyone tried using a small half fender on the front wheel to help stop debris from projecting into to prop arc ? I know it would take a little more room in the nose when it iis retracted, but would it work?
