I'm hoping to buy a long EZ in the spring, preferably O-320 powered. My primary concern is getting a safe plane. What do I need to look for when I am inspecting them? I'm an engineer, but as a non-builder, I realize I don't know enough to completely inspect the thing myself. Regardless of what I find, I would like to have a couple of experienced builders/owners look over the plane with me. Any tips or input would be appreciated!
Do most owners still have the plans with their plane? Would it be a bad idea to consider buying a plane that doesn't come with plans?
