  1. Has anyone ever designed a model of the cozy for a flight sim? That would be the coolest thing in the world. If the flight characteristics were to be portrayed acuratley it could give a potential builder a better understanding of what it would be like to strap a cozy to thier butt and fly around. Give most people an understanding of the scale of the plane and let them know what it is like on the inside. Wanna talk about a sales presentation? I know a little bit about modeling in 3D Studio Max and would be willing to donate my time if someone has modding experience with Microsoft Flight Simulator. Just so you guys dont rake me over the coals, I know that MFS would not give the total experience of flying in a cozy. I am also not implying that it should be used for flight training. Just a demonstrator of the flight characteristics of the cozy and an example of the scale of the plane. Any thoughts or offers? TES111
  2. No sir! Dont turn this into an anti-america, anti-armed forces thing. JEEZE Both of my brothers are in the armed forces. I guess you have to be around military personel or have some in your family to understand thier humor. Hey if it makes you feel better my brother works in supply for F-16's with the airfarce. They call their F-16's Yard Darts. I am the farthest thing from anti-american. Its was all meant in good humor. TES111
  3. Yea; schematics is a far better word than plans guys and girls. They have to lead the public into believing that they know what the heck they are talking about. Was this kid a Navy pilot? Of course the kids mentioned in the article would all be to stupid to get the heck out of the way. What really kills me is the people that complain about living to close to the airport and its traffic. Idiots One last thing; should an arrester hook be implimented into the schematics for landings such as these?
  4. Hmmmm. Airhead:rolleyes: He doesn't get it. I'll drop this one before I have to explain:D
  5. No center keel with a yoke conversion. Hmmmm. Airhead?
  6. 418 lbs. Hmm? Whats the dry weight of a lycosarus?
  7. http://www.vaircraftengines.com/ Does anyone know anything about these guys other than thier own marketing and PR releases? Were they at OSH this year?
  8. What about the smart plugs? Don't they let you burn all types of fuels?
  9. Will a plastic container omit a spark? Prime please correct me if I am wrong. Out with the bad and in with the good?
  10. Thats kinda my point shender. You wouldn't do that. On a car its grounded when the nozzel touches the filler tube. Because its metal. Since you are not pumping gas before you make the initial contact there are not enough fumes to expldoe if there was a spark. A cars gas tank is preasurized. I dont think that a planes tank ever gives you that woosh sound when you unscrew the cap. There-for you still have alot of gas fumes lingering in the air space of the gas tank. One spark and Kaboom. On a cars filler tube it is filled with fresh air when you unscrew the cap and get the woosh of fresh air rushing in.
  11. Only if your pumping gas before you put it into the filler tube. There was a neat special about this on myth busters last night.
  12. The only reason I would purchase from marske Is that he would help design a spar that will hold the cozy's performance specs. That is the key factor and the only way that I would do it. (Same flex/strength)
  13. I dont have it all figured out. Never meant to imply that I did. I know that I alone could never figure out this design issue. Fortunatley there are smarter people than you or I out in the aviation inndustry. Fortunatley they have made this stuff work in the past. I've been talking with a guy that makes carbon fiber rods for spar caps. He says that it is quite possible. As long as I keep the spar as stiff or maybe alittle bit stiffer than the origional spar. http://www.continuo.com/marske/carbon/carbon.htm Heres a link to his site. This stuff is quite amazing. 14. Those would look pretty sexy on my engine. However they look a bit small for coolant lines. http://members.aon.at/wrathall/rotary/ Check this out!!! See #72-Engine (Radiator Hoses) Thanks Again Prime:D
  15. http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Hangar/1165/index.html Yea not much since 1998. Maybe he never finished and his wife did kill him:D
