    I may want to modify my main gear strut per a suggestion from Nat, but prefer to try out the job first on another strut. I could even use just the bottom 6"-8" from both the left and right sides (for ease of shipping), and preferably not yet carved for axle/brake installation. I know this is an obscure request, and will call Featherlite too. But, hey, you never know. Thanks. Al Sweeny
