  1. I used Andover restraints. Reasonably priced and will do custom work. http://www.andoauto.com/seat_belts.htm Jon Dembs Cozy MKIV Rocklin, CA
  2. I have a lightly used (17 landings) set of Cleveland heavy duty brakes and wheels. Part #199-152. Kit contains (2) 40-151 wheel assy's and (2) 30-133 brake assy's and #66-55 linings. Fits 1-1/4" dia. axles. Aircraft Spruce new price is $1058. I'll take $475. PM for additional info. Thanks! Jon Dembs Rocklin, CA
  3. Colby Farmer's Cozy uses a left hand rotation engine. I recall him saying that it was initially less expensive to purchase, but parts are much more expensive. I have seen Cozy's with both horizontal and vertical induction. I went with a horizontal install of my Silverhawk FI because it is a lower profile installation. No need to alter the plans lower cowling. I installed an Aerosport Power (great people) IO-360 B2B (180 hp fuel injected) engine in my Cozy. Good Luck! Jon Dembs Cozy 973
  4. Jerry, I know you're having a ball with Web Slinger, but how about ending the anticipation and update your web page with some pics and a more in depth report!?!!? Anxiously waiting! Jon Dembs Cozy 973
  5. Hi Chris, I calibrated my airspeed using the link that Marc Z. posted to the Cozy group. http://www.reacomp.com/true_airspeed/index.html Mine was about 2kts. fast and I made the adjustment in the GRT. Like everyone else, I found a little more error at slower speeds and higher angle of attack. You are correct though, these planes are amazing! Jon
  6. OOOOPPPPPPSSSSS! Sorry, I meant TAS was in the upper left corner.....
  7. This thread sounds like it could use some incentive to keep at it. Hope this helps! Just a 45 minute flight to Hollister, CA from Lincoln, CA.....about a 2:50drive by car. Just some pics from the EFIS. You will see upper right of the PFD is indicating 187 kts in my newly finished Cozy IV. Lower right on the PFD shows a 16kts cross wind from the left at 280 with a headwind component of 10kts. The 496 backs this up with 176 kts ground speed. Unfortunetly, I didn't get the altitude tape on the PFD. I was at 8500' and running about 40 degrees LOP and burning 8.6 gph on the engine page. My whole point to this is there is nothing like tooling along at 215 mph in your own creation as the Earth (and all the headaches on the ground) slip under your wings. Keep at it! Remember, age doesn't make you old, regrets make you old! Good Luck! Jon Dembs Cozy MKIV
  8. Band new. Never installed. Brock gets $49.45. Will sell for $35.00 plus S&H Thanks! Jon Dembs Plans #973
  9. Tim, I have a new (never installed) NC-5a elevator pitch trim Bellhorn. It's installed in Ch. 11. Brock's old price list has it @ $44.95. I'm sure its gone up a couple of bucks as of June 1. I'll sell it for $40.00 plus S&H. Let me know if you want it and where you live so I can check on mailing costs. Thanks! Jon
