  1. Ash, I live about an hour and a half from you. I'm building a Cozy MK IV that is modified for my 6' 4" frame. Drop me a PM if you're interested in the details or want to come over and see it.
  2. Well, thanks for your opinion. I sure hope the guy that paid $1500 for a set on Ebay three weeks ago doesn't read that! Obviously, paying for drawings alone doesn't tell you HOW to build a Long or a Berkut. If someone wants to buy the TERF CD, then get the files of templates and then have them printed to scale, they certainly have that option. My guess is that by the time you do that, and pay for all that, you're not that far off from what I'm asking. But, that's MY opinion!
  3. I've still got my plans for sale, price is now $800. I need the cash to start work on my Cozy MK IV!
  4. No takers, so my plans are on Ebay. Item no. 140167812648

PM me for questions.
  6. Looking over the forums upcoming at Oshkosh this summer, I see one by the name "Composite Vacuum Resin Infusion". It is being presented by a guy that is building a composite scale replica of an F4-U Corsair. Anybody familiar with this technique or what it is? I also see that Marc Z. is presenting on the Cozy. Hopefully, lots of builders will be there to support him!
  7. Great job John!!! Keep us posted on your progress, and slip in a picture or two if you can. Any chance of getting to Oshkosh this summer?
  8. What's the latest this week? Your saga is like a good soap opera, you leave us hanging for more!
  9. Here's a picture of a Berkut painted silver. The plane is in England I believe. Looks pretty good to me.
  10. Nathan, did you try the ezrg@aol.com email? Bread's wife was answering email for a while. If that doesn't work, contact David Orr, he may know who Bread's partners were and if Swing was one of them. I would guess that Bread had other partners in his business. His shop had four Berkut's under construction and as well as his own Lancair IV. He said he had over two years of Berkut work on the books, and somebody would have to finish those planes.
  11. I spent some time with Steve prior to his death and discussed his retract system as well as looking at it closely. He had a lexan viewing window in the bottom of the fuse so that you could see the attachment and retract hardware. He said he had well over 1000 landings and no problems. The design is very similiar to the Velocity and looked very good. He was still asking about $3000 for the system at the time. I've heard that his partners have taken over his EZRG business. His wife sold his plane early this year, for a very low price from what I've heard. It was a very nice bird, by the way. His craftmanship was excellant and he was very inventive.
  12. Check out this Cozy at Eric Cobb's website. It's a wide body. http://www.ecobb.net/for_sale2.htm
  13. Check out Tracy Crook's website about his RV-4. He makes a direct comparison of his rotary installation with RV-4's with O-320 installations. http://www.rotaryaviation.com/rvotter.html
  14. Omar, great pictures of the gear and the engine installation, thanks. Did Brice do a retrofit of the gear? Is his "Viper" a modified SQ2000?
  15. How's the posting of the pictures coming along? I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to see the installation.
