  1. Yes, Todd Parker did a great job creating a Cozy. You can find it at www.x-plane.org go to the 6.0 aircraft. It seems to fly very close to the real thing from what I can remember.
  2. I believe the Cozy MKIV has been approved as a two place, and is in the process of being approved as a four place. It may be the only canard approved in GB.
  3. Good Luck on getting that rotary going! I can't wait to see and hear it.
  4. I would recommend the video's produced by Mike Arnold about his record setting ar-5. Here is a link to his website - http://www.ar-5.com/index.html
  5. John, We may not like cold air, but our planes and engines sure do. Just think about all that cold, dense air being packed into your engine. I think St. Louis is on the way to Michigan, be sure to stop by! (very subtle way to beg for a ride)
  6. I wonder if there are provisions to prevent Aircraft Spruce from trying to become the sole supplier of materials/parts?
  7. What kind of pump are you using? Would you opt for a better one if possible? Thanks.
  8. Understanding Aircraft Composite Construction by Zeke Smith
  9. Wicks and Aircraft Spruce both carry the Smart level. I don't know whether you can find them anywhere else cheaper.
  10. I'm not positive, but I had heard they are building a second.....
  11. I think there are several builders in the area of Lubbock, including Kevin and Carrie Funk.
  12. Has anyone thought about using carbon fiber in the spar to increase stiffness? Is there any reason to consider it, or should one just use the recommended fiberglass? Food For Thought. Thanks.
  13. Turbines are usually very thirsty! Gains in speed may be offset by refueling time.
  14. I believe that was Curt Smith, near St. Louis. Project was ready for finishing. If you need more info let me know and I'll try and get it.
  15. Last year Nat ran a xmas special offering 150.00 gift certificate for either Wicks or Aircraft Spruce. You can't beat that!

Nick, I haven't belonged to a fourum before so I can't compare e-mail vs. forum. I can say I like the benefit of having different subject areas. The "Coffee House" is just what is needed for all those discussions that aren't particularly Cozy related. It's great to be building the best airplane design available, and what a plus to have such a great group of people always willing to help! Thanks!
