JGaida Posted July 28 Posted July 28 Hi! My name is Johannes, I'm 19 and I live in Austria studying mechanical engineering I currently only fly gilders in my club, but I am working on my ppl. This year I went to Airventure for the first time and fell in love with the Long-EZ, so much so that I am actually considering building one. I've always known about Burts designs and loved their looks, but seeing the aircraft in person, seeing the building techniques and talking with the people that built and fly them is what convinced me to look into this further. I am currently trying to learn everything i can about the aircraft. I've already downloaded the Open-EZ drawings and have a source for the rest of the plans. I'd like to have everything figured out before committing to anything. I'd just like to know if there are any websites, forums or other resources that I should look at. I hope to hear from you all soon! Quote
Kent Ashton Posted July 28 Posted July 28 This list of links may be useful but many are dead links. https://www.canardzone.com/forums/topic/32503-a-heapin-helpin-of-builder-links/ These days, I would check out Cozybuilders.org, Canard Owners and Builders (subscription required) and two active facebook sites (1) Rutan Long-EZ and Varieze Public group and (2) Cozy Mk IV Pilots and Builders. There is lots of info out there. In Europe, Aircraft Spruce supplies parts. You should get their catalog. Quote -KentCozy IV N13AM-750 hrs, Long-EZ-85 hrs and sold
kaylee s Posted July 28 Posted July 28 I think ary glantz's sites is one of the best if you're thinking about a build! http://www.aryjglantz.com Quote
