Kent Ashton
I noticed that this airplane, N25ED, which was discussed more than a year ago, https://www.canardzone.com/forums/topic/21972-sales-ive-seen/?do=findComment&comment=66835 and seen again here just recently, is on ebay with a buy-it-now price of $16,500. https://www.ebay.com/itm/255569294004? See history in the CZ post. Lots of repairs done but a lot of work to go. Fair price, I suppose, with the O-235 included. Sell the engine as-is for $4k and get the rest for say, $12.5K. Whadaya think Buppy? Make sure the seller has good title. zolotiyeruki
Sure seems like a lot more than cosmetic work. Quote LONG EZ PROJECT NO ENGINE • $9,800 • OR BEST OFFER! • This is a complete aircraft minus the engine. The owner passed and I ended up with the plane. It's 650 airframe time according to the Hobbs meter. It needs mostly cosmetic work and just a going through (replace instruments clean control connections etc). It sat outside for a few years, hence the reason to go through it. The canopy is in great shape. It had an O-320 E3D engine. Text me for pics you want. I'm working on locating the logs. 6 seven 8 520 then 7337. Reasonable offers considered. No low balls. You'll have to haul it. I don't have time to deliver in the next 60 days. It looks like the wing and fuselage damage could be patched and fixed. Not sure if the canard forces damaged the mounts but maybe the canard can be repaired too. Replacing the strut would not be that hard. Still, it would be a lot of work. I am thinking maybe $15K would be a top price and maybe $8K-10K is more realistic to reflect the value of the engine and odds and ends. Kent Ashton
today. Only one pic in the ad. I suppose an owner-overhaul could be OK (done one myself) but you'd want to examine what was done. It might have been just enough work to keep it flying. I dunno about overhauling 3200 hr cylinders but if the compressions and oil consumption are good, that would be reassuring. Seller could have put a lot more in the ad. 😞 Quote LONG EZE RUTAN • $23,000 • ACCEPTING OFFERS • 1984 Long Ez with 0-290 engine. 2,700 hours airframe, 3,200 TT engine with 200 hrs on owner overhaul. • Contact Jamie Burgess - WYOMING AERO PHOTO , - located Cora, WY 82925 United States • Telephone: 3072311463 • Posted June 23, 2022 1 Quote -KentCozy IV N13AM-750 hrs, Long-EZ-85 hrs and sold

Kent Ashton
Lots of good ideas and discussion seen in the latest edition (July) of Canard Owners and Builders news. https://canardowners.com/ [subscription required] There was a novel idea for a nose lift and a good discussion of corrosion in Vari wing-attach fittings and lift tabs. Saw this EZ advertised. I doubt it will sell very fast at that price. zolotiyeruki
I'm not (yet) a builder, but I've followed Ary Glantz's build, and I've read a lot of the plans, and it seems like the videographer is rather optimistic, particularly regarding the main landing gear. From what I understand, it seems like an entirely new gear bow and going through the entirety of Chapter 9. It feels like the vast majority of the price is the engine, with most of the remainder in the instruments, and the airframe has little value. Buy an engine, get an airframe, perhaps? Kent Ashton
Looks repairable to me. The wing damage could be patched. It is a little concerning where the force on the canard might have displaced the canard bulkheads and/or damaged the canard but that can be rebuilt, I expect. People have rebuilt MLG strut ends or replaced whole struts. New paint, probably. Yeah, a big job but no worse than the drone-EZ we have seen earlier. This one will fly again, I would bet Quote -KentCozy IV N13AM-750 hrs, Long-EZ-85 hrs and sold
