Jon Matcho
Wow, I knew there was interest and activity in Russia, but not that much! I saw what looks to be an electric-powered Long-EZ... Good stuff! Quote Jon Matcho Builder & Canard Zone Admin Now: Rebuilding Quickie Tri-Q200 N479E Next: Resume building a Cozy Mark IV
CutieDarkFae
I wonder what the flight time on that is, what batteries it uses, etc
Jon Matcho
Lithium Polymer cells of some sort, ever evolving towards higher storage densities. It's an exciting and changing space. Relating it to canards again... a Long-EZ happens to hold the record for the fasted electric-powered aircraft. It was mentioned there that he had to land early since "a cell inside the pack became damaged" which I interpret to mean "was about to explode or catch on fire" as those LiPo batteries tend to do.They're still working the kinks out.
