Jon Matcho
Many of us are unable to attend the Rough River fly-in this year and would appreciate very much to see pictures and commentary about the event. Any and all are welcome to post anything and add whatever thoughts that come to mind. Hopefully we'll all be able to virtually attend... Jon Matcho
From Terry Schubert, there were 52 canards, 4 of which were Defiants (quite a few in one place), a Velocity or two, VariEzes, Cozys, and others. Rough River is a great canard fly-in for all types. Unbeknownst to me at the time I saw my first Quickie there that I would later end up buying. A great place with great people and their fantastic airplanes. Until next year... Jon Matcho
The preceding picture was taken by Ron Revelt, who also sent in this panoramic shot (which seems to capture the essence of what Rough River has now become: Lots of canards in one place (more than typically at Oshkosh?) "Spam can" parking out back Those without wings slogging it there in iron horses Looks like a seriously good time was had. I wish I could have been two places at once. Note that these are low-resolution photos, but you "get the picture" ;-) Quote Jon Matcho Builder & Canard Zone Admin Now: Rebuilding Quickie Tri-Q200 N479E Next: Resume building a Cozy Mark IV
Jon Matcho
Ron Revelt sent in a few more pictures. Looks like perfect weather was ordered!
