aviator_edb
What is the best way to prep a flox or micro outside corner. I had to really work at it to get all the foam off of the cured glass on the seatback. What are others doing on this?
Phil Kriley
Why did you remove all of the foam on your seatback? Quote Phil Kriley Cozy #1460 Chapter 13 - nose Right wing done - working on right winglet.

Phil Kriley
Just talking about the 1/4" or so for the flox corner. Oh! OK - then I agree with the previous responder - I used a cone-shaped Dremel bit. You just have to be careful not to cut all the way through the glass. Neverquit
Yep, cone shaped bit does best. If you don't have a Dremel, sand or cut a 45 deg. bevel to a piece of scrap wood. I use a paint stirring stick. Get some sticky backed 36 grit and wrap it arount the wood. Works great.
TMann
I just trimmed out the triangular piece with an exacto knife (the large type) then trimmed off any excess that remained on the backside of the glass I was bonding to. Finish it up with a little sanding (I used a Fein for that) and you're good to go. Edge 513
I'm confused, but thats nothing new. What foam were you taking OFF of the seatback? Maybe OUT of but not OFF of? Why are you removing foam off of something there? Also, the flox fillets are used when you are stripping the seatback [and bulkheads] to the fuse sides with the 2" BID tapes.
