Tornado Pilot Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Hello, does anybody know what happened to N202FW (S/N 62). I almost bought it about 2 years ago from M7 Aero, San Antonio, but unfortunately it never happened due to indecision of the management. The FAA page says it has been exported to Germany. Is that correct? Anyway a very interesting Speed Canard because (I think) it was the last one built (1992), only 160 hrs TTAE and in very good condition. One of only three Speed Canards registered in the U.S. I am very happy with my Pitts S-2B now, but it would be nice to hear what happened to the Speed Canard. Uli Quote
californiacanard Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 I have an unregistered Speed canard SN 54 with it is an SCO 160B with an 0320 and only 1 hour on the Hobbs. I would like to find a buyer for it in Germany, since It is already certified for Normal category in Germany. It is in Perfect condition, and has the engine and hoses overhauled and replaced since it was sitting in a box for a decade. Can someone help me translate this and post an add to the German website? Best Regards, Pete Quote
Tornado Pilot Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 I can help you out for sure, as I am German. We have to move back to Germany in 3 month, because my tour here in the US is over and I will retire from the Air Force (German AF). I am interested in the Speed Canard. Please contact me under: uschmitt@sw.rr.com Registering a "new" aircraft in Germany is not easy at all, because of all the restrictions. Noise, environment, etc. It is often much easier to keep an N number, as I will with my Pitts. Quote
