Markoid01
Hi Guys, I am doing my first year in engineering and I would like to find the construction details to the main gear hoop of either the Varieze or Longeze or any of the other similar designs. My project is to modle and test the stresses and structurs of a composite assemebly. I have chossen this particular part of the aircraft as it is much more interesting than the average project of this type. The uni is full of project on Chairs, Car Suspensions etc. If anyone can help with the drawings and construction proceedures (just for the Main Gear) Id be very appreciative. AdamkT1
I, like you, am also interested in proper mechanical design of the landing gear. My main objective is to design the main load carrying member of the landing gear. If you find anything useful, Pl. let me know. In case, I find anything good I shall let you know about it. My email is adam_kt1@yahoo.com Thanks.
jle2157
Mark, I am doing the same project as you for a class. What did you model the gear in? Do you have any dimensions you would mind sharing or the actual material construction details? I think I am going to run it in Patran and Abaqus. Thanks, Jared
