GRNZ1
Hi.. I've just completed my first airplane now I want to build another and I would really like to build a Cozy IV. All the FAQ's I've read seem to suggest that a canard machine is no good off a grass field. Can any of you guys who are flying their Cozy comment on this?? We have more grass than paved runways down here.. I'm not really interested in short fields but reasonable quality fields.. Thanks.. Whoops.. just spotted the similar posting.. sorry.. ignore this
jperryfly
I'm building an AeroCanard and plan to operate off grass, 3100 ft, S.L. I have an IO-360, 220HP?, The AeroCanard is very similar to MK IV but has 15x6.00x6 tires and more room and is a kit. Jon Matcho
John, I'm not familiar much with grass fields, but don't you expect some issues with debris flying up into the propelor from the wheels? You're not talking about dirt runways, right? Spodman
I asked the same question... And I was kindly answered. It is possible it appears, but there are issues.
