Phil Silvester Posted February 27, 2004 Posted February 27, 2004 Here is proposed layout of my instrument panel. Before I start cutting any holes, I though I might get some feedback on the arrangement. The panel is drawn to scale using AutoCad. instrument panel.pdf Quote
John Slade Posted February 27, 2004 Posted February 27, 2004 Hi Phil, That annunciator panel is taking up a lot of prime real estate you might want later for a Garmin 430 or moving map system. I put a line of LEDs behind a arcylic panel installed in the IP panel cover. This frees up a lot of space and the warning lights are right in your face. Has Raplh at IK added a user programmable feature? I was very interested in that setup until I found out that you couldnt program the hi/low points, or anything else for that matter. I chose a left/right/both/start key switch and a split master, despite Bob's recommendations. Just a personal thing. You'll need a vacuum gauge and a compass somewhere. A cigarette lighter jack can also be handy. I added an electric landing brake switch next to the gear retract with up/down LEDs for both. Hope this helps.
