codensr Posted June 13, 2003 Posted June 13, 2003 Does anyone have any data on auto fuel with certain additives causing softing of apoxy used in fuel tank. I have read that auto fuel can be problematic with fuel tank integrity. Looking into rotary engines, like the idea of using avgas or auto gas but neede to know pros and cons. Any input would be appreciated. Quote CODEN SR, Builder MK IV #1146

ekisbey Posted June 13, 2003 Posted June 13, 2003 It's a valid concern, one that I share. Especailly now that the feds are toying around with the idea of 10% ethanol/additives by volume to "drop prices." ekisbey Posted June 13, 2003 Posted June 13, 2003 Check out these entries out of the mail-list archives. Thanks to Mr. Slade's search engine it only took me moments to find it. http://kgarden.com/cozy/arch/auto_gas.htm#msg95 Quote Evan Kisbey Cozy Mk IV plans # 1114 "There may not be any stupid questions, but I've seen LOTS of curious idiots..."
