Builder/Project Web Site Tools

Recommended Posts

Here's a quick list of sites and tools that allow you to track your project and share with others (in alphabetic order):

  • Canard Zone Builder Progress Reports (this sub-forum) -- To begin, feel free to start a new thread in this forum and name the title after your project (ex. 'Jon Matcho's Cozy Project') and post updates as often as you like.  This, and perhaps a spreadsheet tallying hours and costs (if that's even necessary), will suffice FAA requirements.

  • www.expercraft.com -- free/donation-based Basic edition, or $5/month for additional features

  • www.kitlog.com -- for a one-time fee of $50 you get a tool (requires Microsoft Windows) and allows you to post updates to www.mykitlog.com

Of course you can get as deep and as fancy you'd like with a Wordpress site or other platforms.  If anything, a recommendation would be to choose the option that allows you spend the least amount of time possible updating your web site.

We're not endorsing any particular route or vendor, and feel free to suggest additional options and this top post will be updated accordingly.

Now get busy!
