Interior Finish - Rhino Liner?

Recommended Posts

Okay, I'm a long ways off from this phase.

I'm wondering if I could use Rhino Liner for the interior areas forward of the instrument panel. I'm just looking for a solution that will handle the scuffing that your feet put out and would wipe down well.

is this material compatable? Durable?

I see that Herculiner is a DIY product where (I believe) Rhino Liner is only available from a pro outlet.

heavy and bad to breath. rocks or pavers work good in the drive..:bad:

Okay .... I'll try to translate this into English.

The "bad to breath" comment I would assume would relate to the fact that the material is polyurethane based and in the event of a fire, fumes/gas would be a concern. So I would assume that those who seal their zolatone with polyurethane would essentially be in the same boat?

TMan,

You need the Jefco to seal the floor, I believe it was Vance who pointed out to me that he cannot paint the underside of the nose due to brake fluid seeping through the floor, the foam and out the bottom skin. Auto body shops sell cleaners to remove stuff on the surface but when you have seepage and saturation you are pretty much scr........

T'ain't nuthin gonna stick to that no mo.

That's good to know. Not to mention the hydraulic fluid for the main gear. I guess that would raise a little hell with the paint as well.

My brother in law does spray in bed liners. He uses the Scorpion bed liner system. It can be color matched and sprayed on pretty thin to save weight. It is tough stuff and gives a good non-slip surface. They also have a fire retardant system they say is for aircraft interiors.
