hint for side panels

I have been doing 3 chapters at the same time 16-17-24 I found when I made the map pocket mold that goes on the side of the plane by your elbow. The plans size pocket hit on my rudder control torque tube. I have built this entirely to plans dimensions. I cannot find anywhere I might have gone wrong. What I am trying to say, to save a little time and epoxy is make the mold and slide it in place to see if it is close to the torque tube I cut my "new" one down 1/4" and it fits fine. Yes I made one completely before I found this out. Hopefully this is just a helpful suggestion. STeve build on

SHORTER than plans???!!!!!...hey, you just got a customized bird there!!:D I ran my torque tubes at the seatback closer to the sidewall [along with using thinner foam techniques there] so that I could make the armrests 3/8 inch narrower at the seatback dimension [to get more hip room]. That was back when I weighed 50 pounds more and really needed it.

I used the plans elec channels where I thought was plans and the rudder cables on top per plans...that mean my map pockets bacame very shallow...like 2-1/2 inches. I am not worried though because with my shorter seat fronts, there's easy access for tons of map, camera, water bottle, etc storage under my seats.

Self confessed Wingnut.

Now think about it...wouldn't you rather LIVE your life, rather than watch someone else's, on Reality T.V.?

Get up off that couch!!! =)

Progress; Fuselage on all three, with outside and inside nearly complete. 8 inch extended nose. FHC done. Canard finished. ERacer wings done with blended winglets. IO540 starting rebuild. Mounting Spar. Starting strake ribs.

I made a mistake after reading my post it is not a rudder torque tube it is the aileron/ elevator torque tube. The plans size of map pocket was tall enough I could not slide it under the tube. I made it a 1/4" shorter it fit. Like my buddy edge I am hopeing that my cool thy supports I am in the process of making will hold all kinds of junk related to flying little airplanes really fast. Steve build on:D
