First try Al Guetzens site, he is flying a 20b in a Velocity SE with solid success. http://members.cox.net/alg3/airplane.htm

For much useful info go to Paul Lamar's site http://www.rotaryeng.net/. His site has a lot of information and his email list is full of folks who enjoy rotary theory.

For an email list full of very practical information from builders and flyers, go to www.flyrotary.com and join the email list.

Finally, check out Tracy Crooks company, Real World Solutions (RWS) at www.rotaryaviation. Tracy is a retired engineer who sell ECU's, Engine monitor and PSRU/Re-drives' amoung a few other things (rebuild kits etc) for the Mazda 13b and 20b. He just clicked over 1700 hrs in the air with rotaries. He flys an RV-4 that he change from a 13b to a Renesis and is building a RV-8 with a 20b.

'course, you may already know all of this. Good luck.

All the best,

Chris

thx Chris, I'll jump on it. i got time yet and i need the shop built but no point in waiting till the last minute

get out your pencils and try to follow me on this one........

IF i need to cut, here's my thoughts

don't touch the fuel tanks but rather cut around them so i could pull on the nose of the plane and make it longer ?

the cut mite go like this, start at the upper long, wait this cant work

wow there is so much stuff in the way...hum gullwing? fhc? air brake? seat back? fuel lines? control stick's? EEKKKKKK

i getting dizzy now. OK regroup....150#over will need how much in the nose? any body? I'm up to 150 now that i don't smoke (can we say fat)lol so that will help

I have no direct experience w/Mazda rotaries, but I have watched others struggle for the last 4 years with turbos.

Can I suggest initially installing the 20b without the turbos. You'll save lots of time and have a more reliable engine to test your aircraft. Then after a year or two, when you're getting the itch to build again, and your comfortable with the airframe and the engine cooling, then add turbos if you still want them.

that was my thoughts as well, but do i change out the rotters for the 9.7 or go with the 9.0 ?

Have you decided to ditch the turbo's?

i wont need the twin set up, AL has no turbos and the low compression rotor's(9.1) same as mine and are intakes look about the same and hes 170knt @ 50% power burning 9.5.
