Wanted: Forum Moderator

Anyone interested in helping run the forum? For starters, I need a backup person to confirm new member posts (or delete spam posts) since I'll be on a boat all next week without Internet access.

 

Life as a moderator (for me at least) is as follows:

 

1) Visit the moderation page in the morning.

2) Review pending posts (only for new users making their first posts; sometimes no posts require moderation).

3) Validate or Delete.

4) Consider repeating 1-4 in the evening.

 

This takes me 2.2 minutes each day.

Thanks everyone for all the offers of support. The "opening" is going to remain available for anyone interested and qualified (builder, flyer, and some computer skills -- a mix that I actually do not entirely have ).

 

With that said, I am happy to announce that Waiter has stepped up to offer his services on the forum. Waiter has been doing EZs for a good long time and I am sure will be a great asset as a moderator here. Check out Waiter's web site if you haven't already.

 

Speaking of "moderation", please understand that there really is no moderation at the Canard Zone. Moderators cannot edit other's posts, with the exception of approving a new member's very first post. Beyond that, moderators can:

• move threads to appropriate forums
• split threads that have gone off-topic
• and... <gasp> ban users (banning is not practiced here given that the community here has proven to be "self healing" -- good job everyone!)
