Forum Enhancements

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I hope you all have been enjoying the forum. We're trying on a new look that expands the forum categories so that you can see the title and author of recent posts in the sub forums. You can "collapse" categories by using the [-] and [+] signs located on the right side of each category. These settings will be persistent from visit to visit.

We have also added a new Designs & Modifications section where everyone is encourage to post ideas and pictures of their mods. Tonyslongez is going all out and essentially creating a new 2-place tandem canard design based on the Long-EZ, and you can find a dedicated sub forum for Tony's project.

Let me know what you think of the new setup, and if there are any other features you would like to see at the Canard Zone.

Regards,

Jon

We.....

The Imperial "we"? You have a mouse in your pocket? :-).

The only thing that I would encourage, when publicizing modifications to proven designs, is that IF the mod could in any way affect safety, that people include information as to whether this modification has been proven on a flying aircraft, and if so, how it was tested.

Okay, you caught me... I did that all by myself.

Absolutely!

Modification-related discussions were happening before, but mixed in with per-plans discussions. I moved many of the sub-forums that had many such discussions out from the Building section and over to the new Designs & Modifications section.

The result, I hope, is a better appreciation for the discussion to be in that area where certain bets are off and you're on your own as an experimenter and test pilot.
